I am looking for the death record or obit of J. W. Rice (either Jefferson Wallace Rice or John William Rice). He is believed to have been killed in a slate fall in the Kay Moor Number 2 mine on 25 Apr 1905. I need to confirm his actual name to further my research. Thanks, Donna

Do you know if the mine was in Cabell ? There was no mention of his death or a mine accident in the Huntington Paper, I searched for a couple of weeks past the date .
