    2. I don't know that it's definitive but I have a woman named Jane in my tree who often went by Jincy or Jensie.? I am fairly new to research in the West Virginia area. I am searching the Ezra Wise Smith (1 Oct 1865-7 Aug 1945) line. His father Samuel Sanders Smith (29 Aug 1839-21 Mar 1917)?death cert lists father as Jackson Smith and Mary Jane Hazlette. A search of?Cabell county marriages lists a? Jarson Smith and Jersey Hayslette 3 July 1838. Samuel's brother?William Jackson's death cert list?father as William Jackson and mother as Jensie Hazlett. As the writing may be unclear on these certificates what do you suppose the first name of the mother would be? Jersey, Jensie or Jane as the 1850 census states.? ? Did the?early settlers to Cabell county come there from a particular section of Virginia? or another state? ? I would like to research the Smith involvement?in the Civil War.? Was Cabell Union or Confederate?? Thanking for any advice in advance.
