Dear Linda, Hi Linda, Do you have information on William M. Cowan? He was a resident of Huntington until 1893 the time of his death. He was a member of the 51st Virginia Regiment known as the Wythe Riffles. He migrated to Cabell County in the 1870's with his wife Mary (Patterson) Cowan and his sister Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Cowan) Patterson and her husband Rev. Rush Patterson. He was a prisoner of war after the battle of Waynesboro and was held at Fort Delaware. He was released at the close of the war. Many Thanks, Martha Rehm P.S.
