    3. The way to judge the value of the Cabell County genealogy web site is by comparison. Please take a look at what's available for many of the other counties in WV, KY and OH and then count your blessings if you're lucky enough to be researching in Cabell County, WV. I will not mention the name of my home county to avoid starting another war, but it is one of the counties contiguous to Cabell. The comparison between the two sites shows clearly how superior the Cabell County site really is. If nothing new ever were added to the site, Cabell's still would be one of the most helpful that I have ever used. 3. Hi All, Cabell Co. Genweb is a great site, as are all the other genealogy sites dedicated to Cabell history. Candie has done a fine job. But lets not all pile on Mr. Prichard for asking a legitimate question. Everyone will have to admit that Candie does take "breaks" that sometime last for many months. I have my own site, and I thank all of you who have visited it, so I know you take a 'break' sometimes. 2. Linda, I had the same question, since I was born there. Debbie Campbell of KYOWVA told me it used to be the Kessler Hospital and a photo of it was shown in the "Images of America" book, Cabell County, by James E. Casto. The photo is on p. 43 It was located at the corner of 6th Avenue and 1st Street in Huntington, WV. Phil **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? 3. Perhaps you are just having a bad day and should have read your email before posting to correct the "tone". Please keep in mind that the coordination of a genealogy site as large as Cabell's takes a LOT of work! Candee has done a fabulous job and continues to work her tail off on a VOLUNTEER basis I might add! If you are finding that difficult to believe, I highly suggest you check out some other counties in West Virginia and you will no doubt come to the conclusion that we are damn lucky to have her. The Caberll site outshines all the rest. Genweb site? Their hasn't been anything new posted since January 16th and the new "upgraded" site has very little genealogy stuff! Has the coordinator quit, on vacation, sick? Could they have lost interest and need to give it up? I know more than a few people that would gladly take it over and keep it updated. What is your opinion of the lack of interest in the Cabell site? It seems to be a site in name only!
