    1. Re: [WVCABELL] Grocery store
    2. The store was located close to the old Shoe Factory on 25th St. And was owned by a Marie Cremeans at one time. And would have been there as late as the 1950. 1. [WVCABELL] James Bates, Chinn and Susan Adkins
    2. Debbie Campbell
    3. After much research with land, vitals and census and tax list I have concluded that Moses Bates of Lawrence County Ohio was most likely the child of Daniel Bates. Moses had two daughters before he married Elizabeth Chinn. One was Margaret or Peggy and the other was Susan Bates who married John Adkins. I have looked at family relationships etc I still do not know where James Bates fits into the picture as the DNA from both family lines do not match. James lived in Cabell. Both families married Chinn relatives and lived near them in Wayne County. Would like to hear from Chinn or Bradshaw researchers as to a father of James or Daniel. My theory is John or Thomas. Any new leads on the father of the Bradshaw girls that married Bates?

    3. Mr. Shockley, It's been a long long time since I have made any endeavor to post anything to the Cabell Gensite! Because of my frustration with the late or no posting policy of the Cabell site beginning nearly 2 years ago, I have sent materials of interest to Barry Huffstutler's Cabell Doors to the Past website. He gives IMMEDIATE attention to everyone who sends him material of value concerning Cabell County. After months of waiting for the webmaster to post solicited materials eg. family group sheets, historical material about my family and Cabell County, I found another outlet! I don't know if you are aware of it or not, but there have been no updates since January of this year on the Cabell site and what materials that were available are to be found on the "old" site before it was to be revamped. Check the "what's new" link and see for yourself. It pales in comparison to http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~wvcccfhr/<http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~wvcccfhr/> Ed Prichard ----- Original Message ----- From: Lesley L Shockey<mailto:lesshockey@wildblue.net> To: wvcabell@rootsweb.com<mailto:wvcabell@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, August 22, 2008 5:54 PM Subject: Re: [WVCABELL] Nothing tTo Look At!
