That's the same one I use but there are so many people that I have not been able to find there! I believe that it is because it was prior to death/birth/marriage reporting requirement laws. If I was back home I would be able to look up land titles, old news paper, church records, info at KYOWVA library, etc.....things that aren't on the web yet. Some of my grandfather Sawyers family went back and forth across county lines so much (prior to 1850) that I have no idea where to even look for them....or what state even. You mentioned Martins..... I "camp out" on Barry's site just about every day. If it wasn't for his wonderful work, I would not have been able to "dig up" nearly as many ancestors. I've found the marriage record for John W. Blankenship Jr & 'Mannie' erry - February 10, 1912 in Martha, Cabell, WV. They were listed as 18 for him/20 for her and her birth was Cabell Co. They don't fit in to any of my families that I know of, but I've added them to my database and if I find anything else I'll let you know. Since John W. Jr was born in Wayne Co. I'm sure he fits in somewhere...just don't know where. My g-grandfather was also John W. Blankenship but he married Laura Huff. Do you have any other dates or names to add to your John W.
