I'm assuming she never remarried since the SSDI lists her as "Holley", but I could be wrong. Do you have any way of finding out when they were divorced? And what may have happened to John David Dailey, her ex-husband? He was born 22 Jan 1886 in West Virginia, but I have no death date for him. Looking forward to seeing what you find.

Birth: 6 Nov 1887, West Virginia Death: Jun 1977, Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia Marr: 15 Sep 1909, Mason County, West Virginia Spouse: John David DAILEY (22 Jan 1886, WV) They probably lived in Mason or Cabell County. She is sometimes listed as "Made". Her name may have been Almeda, or Maida. I can't seem to find Mada on any census prior to 1910. She and John lived in Huntington from 1910 - 1930, although I don't find them on the 1920 census. They were there in 1918 when he signed up for the draft. Mada divorced John sometime after 1930. The story goes he had another family somewhere else! Anyone know who Mada's folks were? I'd appreciate the help!

She lived in Huntington until moving with her parents to Washington so her father could help in the war effort. There she attended St Agnes and Holton Arms School. She met her husband Herbert G Rowe in Arlington just out of the Army they married while he finished his degree at Duke University. After a few years in Atlanta, they settled in Dallas Texas where she passed away April 12 at home with her three daughters and husband at her side. She is survived by the above along with 3 grandchildren and brother Charles 'Bud' Emmons of Seattle and Maui.

Hi all, I just have a little clue on an ancestor with the Ball name. A will for Ann Catharine Miller died 31 Dec 1898 in Chester OK had only son was Enoch Stanley of Hope IN. I have pieces of a letter from DC Ball to Enoch Stanley that mentions Aunt Alvira and Rosa (maybe Ann's sisters?). The letter mentions father's name of D.S. Ball? I have also seen Enoch's mother's name as Mary A Bowl. Enoch was born in Jackson Co., VA and was in Civil War (born 18 Ju n 1846) and married Virginia Bella Fetter who was listed as closest relative in Jackson Co., WV. I believe Enoch also had a sister Mary Ann (Mollie?) Stanley who died while he was in the civil war (1864) and another brother Daniel Washington Stanley. Anything sound familiar to anyone? Jean the Cabell Record has online obits and Marshall University Special collections carry some. They may cover his or the Public Library can help. A good while ago I snail mailed the geneology of John & Nancy that Ken MOODY had put together.Ken died 7 Jan 2004 , in summer of 2003 , I visited him and his wife in a Portsmouth OH senior living center , and he gave me all the papers he had on the family , most of which are old pages he had replaced in the book. I spent the last 18 months updating and creating WORD files on each page. With documents , photos , and the updated pages there now is 190 numbered pages and some documents that aren't numbered . I would like to find more info on CHANEY family as a lot of them are intermarred with BALL , GIBSON ,ERWIN , and my sister in laws husband is a CHANEY , from Wayne Co. Ernie WRIGHT
