    2. Dorothy McCarns
    3. I'm Dorothy and the names I am researching are DAVIS, FRENCH, and BRALEY. My gggrandfather, William Miles French married Martha Davis. I believe Martha is the daughter of Sterling Davis of Cabell Co. They married in 1860 in either Cabell Co., or Gallia Co., OH. I found them in the 1860 census in Gallia and then in the 1870 census in Cabell Co, living very close to Sterling Davis' wife. Anyone else researching these families? I am at a total wall with the French line. Thanks! Dorothy

I'm not certain but I think he was based in the Harveytown/Westend area. At that time he may have been the first in the vicinity, if not he was the largest. He did residetial as well as commercial service and would haul anything. I moved from the area in 1960 and don't know if the company still exsists or not.
