I am still researching my 3rd great-grandfather, Edmund (Edmond) Baxter, son of John Baxter. Edmund was b 1748 in Baltimore County, MD, place of residence during the Rev War was Cross Creek, Ohio County, VA (Now Brooke Co WV), served as Captain in the 8th company, 4th Battalion of the Washington Co. PA Militia. Married Rebecca Davis in Ohio County, VA on 11/16/1792. I'm still trying to trace the Baxters back to their arriving in Maryland in about 1635. Have not been able to find out who John Baxter's parents were or for that matter, have never been able to find out who Rebecca Davis' parents were. Do we have a connection? Louise
