Their son, Nelson married our gggaunt Mahala Hamilton. ** Nelson Roberts was the son of Joseph and Ruth Roberts, who were married 28 April 1836 in Morgan County. Their children included Jason, Hiram, Sarah and Nelson. They lived in Deerfield Township. Joseph and Ruth (Nelson) Roberts had four children: Dr. Jason Roberts m. Mary F. Hyler - no children, Nelson Roberts m. Mahala Hamilton - no children, Sarah Roberts m. John Kent - 2 children Hiram Roberts married Martha C Hall – children: Edson P., Wilbur J and Clarence Eugene Roberts. After his first wife Martha died, Hiram married Delilah Amanda Danner, they had 4 children together. Mary R, John Marvin, Bessie Jane and Sina Elizabeth. John Roberts.m. Delilah Amanda Danner - 7 children. Joseph and Ruth (Nelson) Roberts, parents of Nelson Roberts, are buried in Deerfield Cemetery, Morgan County, OH. Joseph b.1804 d March 17, 1857, Ruth b. May 24, 1811 d .January 17, 1851. John and Sarah Jane (Roberts) Kent - both are buried in Lorimor Cemetery, Lorimor IA. John b.December 28, 1840 d.August 28, 1912. Sarah b.July 23, 1845 d.November 13, 1921. Hiram was born July 31, 1841 OH. died February 15, 1894 in Kansas, body taken to Murray Iowa for burial.
