I have a land transaction that happened in 1785 in Harmons Creek and then that land was resold in 1796. We will be passing through the state and are wondering which county we could stop in to try and find the records of this transaction and where? Court house or library or where and what? Our time is limited and we are anxious to see the deed books that would have more information. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It states that the transaction happened between a resident of Washington Co., PA and Ohio County of VA. Thanks so much, Jean
