Was there ever a time that an area around the Brooke/Ohio county area was called Alexandria?? I know that West Alexander is just across the state boundary in PA, but wondering if any of the area behind Wellsburg (Bethany, West Liberty area) might have been called Alexandria, Old Alexandria, Alexander, etc. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
