It might direct us to a particular STEWART family in the area - as there are many. I have a large database of early John STEWARTs - but none married to a Lucinda. Sooooooooooooo many STEWARTS! The closest one in is age is a John, b. approx. 1801; s/o John and Elizabeth McCARTY STEWART. Nicholas CRISS's research states, "John, the father of Margaret Bailey, went to Pittsburgh with a wagon load of produce. He never returned. His horses and wagon were found, but it was supposed that he was robbed and murdered. This John STEWART's wife was Harriet WHITE. Doesn't seem to match. Most of the early STEWARTs in the Brooke & Hancock County are related, but there was another early STEWART family in Ohio Co., VA/WV. He may be your match. Julia
