I was told that Van Swearingen was buried over on Pleasant St between two houses near the Board of Education building, maybe down up the street a few houses. I drove there, but not sure of where to look. I was told that there is a stone marking the grave, that has long since fell, although in my Swearingen book I have, it tells of the grave inscription. This place was supposed to have been the former farm of Van Swearingen, many years ago, which later was sold. Would anyone know of this grave?
