Callendin (Callendine), who appears on 1880 U.S. Federal Census, Hamilton County, TN, with wife Annie, daughter also named Annie, son-in-law T.J. Walker, and two grandchildren, Mabel and T. Guss Walker. J.D. lists his and both his parents' place of birth as West Virginia. The surname is definitely spelled Callendin on the census, but I have not been able to find any lists that use that spelling. Callendine seems to be one of several spelling options.
