Later the Elmhurst Mansion was built on this site. I understand this was built by a William Tarr. Could this be your Wm. Tarr? I am looking for deeds and records. I am trying to trace Lucy, daughter of "Indian" and as a last resort to trace her route to Illinois with husband Benjamin Stephenson in 1809, I am looking for transactions of sales of the land she inherited from her father, "Indian". This is my newest approach to finding where Lucy lived from 1793 until 1809 - trace the sale of the land she inherited. Maybe you can help. Thanks.
