My great-great grandfather was Henry Painter and my great-grandfather was George Washington Painter who was born in 1835 in Warren County, Ohio. Henry married Masser Wells in 1830. Her maiden name was Dougherty but she married Isaac Wells in 1820. I'm assuming Isaac died but haven't found a death record. The Dougherty's came from Northunberland, PA and settled in Warren County, Ohio. I have been unable to get any further back than 1830 for Henry.
