His route to Brooke County, VA (now WV), might have been down the Ohio River, but more probably overland through Allegheny County and into Washington County's northwest corner at the headwaters of Harmon Creek which flows into the Ohio in Brooke County at what was once Holliday's Cove, now Weirton. I note that a Professor Jacob H. Walker was the father of Agnes Lodholz Walker, who married Dr. Charles Thomas Gilden. Any connection???

    3. Is anyone researching a Jacob FOULK Jr. (Fulk, Faulk) who was in the pottery business in Morgantown, WV in the early 1800s. In 1818 it appears that Jacob Foulk was in Brooke County and may have been prison. Does anyone know where Jacob Foulk Jr. is buried? His first wife was Gertrude Horton Ridgeway (m. 1803) and the first name of his second wife was Elizabeth. Does anyone know where Jacob Foulk Sr (born 1736 and died sometime after 1807) is buried? His wife was Margaret Foulk, the daughter of Peter Foulk. Millie
