Lillian was a daughter of William Hansford Keffer and Belzora Washington Harless. William Hansford Keffer was a son of Huldah A. Keffer and John Crotty (never married - he was ordered to pay child support) William seemed to use the Crotty name when he felt like it. He and Belzora had 14 children.
