    3. You can go to topozone.com and type in Toney's Branch or Blooming Rose in the search engine and get the topo map of the area. I have used it before. I have relatives that were from Toney's Branch, also. Kathy

    3. Received some paperwork on Great-Aunt Mamie Browns passing and note, for the records: 1. One newspaper incorrectly listed her as Marie Brown Zimmerman. She was always and only Mamie (no middle name) Brown, married name Zimmerman. 2. One newspaper incorrectly listed her dod as Mon, 7/23/2001. Hospice called me the minute of her death at 8:28 a.m., Tuesday morning, 7/24/2001. Lesson of the day: all obits can be used for reference and info but keep the knowledge that people do make mistakes, even in these times. Modern machinery still run by humans subject to error.     3. Hello Everyone, Does anyone have a copy of "Kith and Kin of Boone County, West Virginia", Volume XVI, page 55 & 56, and could take a look to see if Sanford Brogan had a son named Sylvester. Also, there is another book called my Brogan Connection or ?, I'm not sure about the name. SANFORD BROGAN I was born October 7, 1854 in Virginia, and died May 1912. He married (1) ALMEDA VICTORIA MIDKIFF December 24, 1874 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, daughter of ALLEN MIDKIFF and LOUISA NICHOLS. She was born May 29, 1857 in Virginia. He married (2) ELIZABETH WARNER November 26, 1883 in Kanawha County, West Virginia. He married (3) EMILY H. MURPHY March 1, 1891. She was born June 1858 in Virginia. Children of SANFORD BROGAN and ALMEDA MIDKIFF are: i. SAFRONIA BROGAN, b. 1876, West Virginia. ii. LOUISA BROGAN, b. 1878, West Virginia; d. November 26, 1883. iii. WILLIAM BROGAN, b. December 15, 1879, West Virginia. (Could this have been Sylvester?) Children of SANFORD BROGAN and ELIZABETH WARNER are: iv. JAMES E. BROGAN, b. June 1885. v. HUGH BROGAN, b. August 1888.     3. There is a Scotts Cemetery! Thank you Eleanor, at least someone reads the Archives on the Boone County Gen. Web page. My relatives are buried there, and it is called Scott Mt. It is best to go Slaughter Creek entrance. A four wheeler is the way to go.

I am interested in Isaac Bell and was wondering about the land grant he had for this area. How did he get it. I am interested in all of the family tree. Where did Isaac Bell come from?
