FYI....I will be adding a link to the site.... ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: Jerry McCormack <jam_mack@swbell.net> Date: Sun, 20 Jan 2002 11:56:25 -0600 We have created a web site called "Kanawha County Family Tree". Many of >the Boone county folk are linked to Kanawha County. You might want to >link to our site. It the present time we are in the process of adding >the 1870 Boone County census information into our data base because of >the links. Once this is done we will update the web site. To get to >the web site go to > >http://home.swbell.net/jam_mack/index.html > >The web site contains over 75,000 names linked thru marriage, birth, >death and census records. All individuals in the data base has some >link to Kanawha County or a neightboring county at one time or another. >The reason for neightboring counties information was that mixing of >county records. Someone could live in Kanawha County and get marriage >in Putnam County as my folk did. > >Happy hunting > >Jerry > >
Am searching for information on my Collins family. My great grandmother, Virginia "Jenny" Holstein/Holston, was born, according to Raleigh County, WV birth records, on 19 June 1878 to the union of David Holstein/Holston & Rebecca Collins. 25-year-old David L. Holstein/Holston & 24-year-old Rebecca Collins were married on 7 November 1873, according to Boone County Marriage records. According to the 1880 Raleigh County annotated census transcribed by David Anderson Turner, Rebecca E. Collins was the d/o George & Susan Collins. I have George's birth as circa 1822, Susan's birth as circa 1816 & their marriage as circa 1842. I do not have a maiden name for Susan. According to the 1850 Raleigh County annotated Census for Raleigh County, George Collins was the s/o David & Rebecca Collins. I have David's birth as circa 1790, Rebecca's birth as circa 1792 & their marriage as circa 1815. I do not have a maiden name for Rebecca. Does anyone have a maiden name for Rebecca who married David Collins circa 1815 or for Susan who married George Collins circa 1842? Any and all information on this Collins family is welcome. Thank you in advance for any information or guidance. As always, I look forward to reading your E-mails. Sincerely, Mike Peters npeters102@aol.com
