    1. [Berkeley Co WV] Parents of Clarence Morgan
    2. My grandfather, Clarence George Morgan, was born March 19, 1864 in VA/WV. His parents supposedly John and Mary Morgan, or Morgan Morgan and Mary Amelia Silver Morgan. In the 1870 and 1880 census he was living with Jonathan W. McGinnis and his wife Rosanna E. Shaull McGinnis in MIddleway, WV. During the 1870 census, there was a Mary Morgan working out as a servant near there. Clarence had an Aunt Georgie aka Georgianna Morgan Barrett living in Martinsburg, who was married to a Luther Barrett. They had a daughter Dorthy Ruth Barrett who worked in the Court House in Martinsburg. I think she married a Marple/Marpole and had several sons. Clarence first married Carry Kremer from the Winchester area, and their first son Clarence George Morgan JR was born in the 1880's. He died young in about 1899 and is buried in Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Winchester. Clarence had 3 daughters also, and in 1893 they were living in the Battletown District of Berryville in Clarke Co., VA. In 1900 he was living with his wife and 3 daughters in Westmoreland Co., PA, in Sewickely Twp. Carry died in 1902, and Clarence then married my grandmother, Elizabeth S. Zumbro Medsger , who had my dad, Andrew Carnegie Morgan, born in 1910 in West Newton, PA. Does anyone have connections to these Morgans, Barretts, Shaulls, Kremers, McGinnis and Marpole/Marples? Since Clarence was born during the Civil War, many of the births were not recorded. My Sincere Thanks, Dorothy E. Morgan P.O Box 481 St. Clairsville, OH 43950

    3. I'm no relation to any of the names mentioned that I know of. However, I've been looking for The Blamer family in Berkeley county forever. (my great grandfather was born at North Mountain).  I just wanted to say "Good Luck". The Civil War destroyded most of the court houses and records in that part of the country and no one was buried with a headstone because they were afraid of destruction or couldn't afford it. ________________________________ From: "d.e.morgan@sbcglobal.net" <d.e.morgan@sbcglobal.net> To: WVBERKEL@rootsweb.com Sent: Sunday, November 24, 2013 9:48 AM Subject: [Berkeley Co WV] Parents of Clarence Morgan My grandfather, Clarence George Morgan, was born March 19, 1864 in VA/WV.
