All- Many researchers don't know the value of a small book published by Ancestry, Inc. title "Ancestry's Guide To Research" - Case Studies in American Genealogy by Johni Cerny & Arlene Eakle. Read Chapter 14 - Colonial Ancestors which describes in detail the Migration Routes of our early country. Also in this chapter are excellent maps showing time frames with canals, highways (of the time), etc. and should not be overlooked - excellent source! Ann M.
