gc= German Congregation, in the Restored Marriage Book or Miscellaneous Book cr= Church Record, also in the Restored Marriage Book mr= Marriage Record from the courthouse (also placed in Restored Marriage Book) mr* = in the leatherbound miscellaneous book b= Bond Book--so 2b111 would be Bond Book 2, p. 111. Not sure what church David Young preached for (although he married my g-g-g-g-grandparents)--if he was the same person as John David Young, an early pastor in Shepherdstown-Martinsburg area (do a search at WV Archives), then he apparently served the Lutheran and German Reformed congregations. I'm curious about this too--anyone know?
