    3. I can't answer your question but I have been looking for a marriage that took place in 1857 or 1858 in Berkely County. How can I access records from that time frame?? Thanks, Leon Clark ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carolyn Lacey" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, June 09, 2006 8:44 PM Subject: Marriage Records | Hello Berkeley county List! | | I copied a page of Marriages from Marriage Records of | Berkeley, VA 1781-1854. I am trying to identify which | of the McGlaughlin/McLaughlins are connected. Three | of them around 1790 were married by Rev. David Young. | The last two columns on the page include letters and | numbers. Example: gc 2 or cr 11 or mr 35 | | I did look at the information that explained these | symbols but I can't remember what it said. I seem to | remember that gc stood for German Church, but just | what church was David Young pastor of and where was it | located? Thanks for any help you can give me! | | Carolyn | | __________________________________________________ | Do You Yahoo!? | Tired of spam? Yahoo! 3. These records have been filmed by the Mormon Family History Library, and if there is a local Family History Center in your vicinity (most cities have one, at least; you can check for your own location at http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHC/frameset_fhc.asp) you can order the film there ($5.50). See http://www.familysearch.org, go to the library catalog, and search by place (Berkeley, part of West Virginia). Another option is to contact the Berkeley County Historical Society for assistance--see http://www.bchs.org/genealogy.html. They do charge a research fee. Good luck!
