I believe I had some correspondence with a Butts researcher or two many years ago--I've decided to get serious about this couple again. Here is what I know: Margaret Houseworth, daughter of Isaac and Sarah (who are buried in the Gerrardstown Presbyterian Church Cemetery), born probably in the late 1790s, probably in Bucks Co., PA; married 11 April 1816 in Berkeley Co. (by Nathan Young) to William Butts (or sometimes Butt). I think I've found them on the 1820 census (in Berkeley Co.), but that's about it. There is a story that they lived near "Harperstown", Virginia, at some point, but I haven't been able to trace them. Thanks for any insights about the Butts! Martha Grenzeback [email protected]
