    3. Dear All I am hoping that SKS will be able to help with this one. The Actor ROBERT HARRIOT BARRAT died 7 January 1970, and is buried in Greenhill Cemetery, Martinsburgh, Berkeley County, West Virginia. (His wife's home). He was born 10 July 1891 in New York City, NY. He was a character actor for more than 50 years who graduated from the Broadway stage to motion picture and television shows; he portrayed the late Gen. Douglas MacArthur in the films, "They Were Expendable" and "American Guerrilla in the Philippines;" in Hollywood. His last film appearance was in the rugged western "Tall Man Riding" (1955)." I am trying to find information about his parentage, as his names are very much 'family' for me (I have ROBERT Joseph BARRAT, born 15 March 1854, London, UK; mother HARRIOT; married 1877, London; died 27 January 1891, New York, USA). I believe that his wife, Mary Dean, is (or was?) a genealogist or historian, as Martinsburgh Berkeley County Public Library has a book by Mary Virginia Dean BARRAT entitled "Dean, Snodeal, Schill, Belt", dated 1993, which is about those four families. Can anyone help please? Reg Paine Oxford, UK
