Looking for information about a John Bates who died abt 1684 in Essex county. He was married to a Margaret. they had two children Elizabeth who married Richard Roads in 1688 and William who was born about 1670-1673. After John Died Margaret married a John Seymour. Her children Elizabeth and William took John Seymour to court and each received a cow. However John Seymour did not give them the cow and they had to go again and get the increase from John by court order. Looking for information about this family and the family of their son William. Ed
