I am researching the connection between the Lemmon/Lemon and King surnames in the area of Berkely Co. My William Lemmon Sr. was in Harrison Co. KY. as early as 1794 and left a will there in 1818 mentioning his wife Elizabeth and three sons who were John Lemmon Jr., George and John. George Lemmon married Jane King in 1815 in Harrison Co. Ky. She was the daughter of Joshua King. Joshua King was the son of Richard King who also went to KY. from VA. I would like to hear from anyone who can give me a clue as to where to search further.
