I am anxious to connect to ANYONE who had Wright kinfolk in early Berkeley Co., VA, even if you think you've talked with me previously. I want to track all the early Wrights to see if I can discover who my William Wright might have been related to, so I need everyone's Wright input. My William Wright lived in early Berkeley County, Virginia before he moved on to Bourbon County, Kentucky where he died about 1806. His wife's name was Martha (maiden name unknown). Their known children were: 1) Elizabeth, who married David Leer in 1794 in Bourbon Co., KY; 2) Hanna(h), who married a Mr. Melvin possibly in Berkeley Co., VA; 3) Hugh, who married Mary Ann Patterson in 1799 in Bourbon County, KY; 4) James. I have no further info on him; 5) William, who died before 1802, possibly in Berkeley Co., VA; 6) Robert who married Elizabeth Raney in 1791 in Berkeley Co., VA; 7) Margaret "Peggy" who married Tobia Hendricks in 1789 in Berkeley Co., VA; 8) Mary "Polly" who married John Stewart in 1795 in Bourbon Co., KY; 9) Sally who married Joseph Hannah in 1793 in Bourbon Co., KY; 10) John who married Polly Reagan in 1798 in Bourbon Co., KY; 11) Jane who married Quisenberry "Berry" Champ in 1799 in Bourbon Co., KY Judy Harvey [email protected]

I've not done any original research on this family so cannot vouch for accuracy. I'm supposedly descended from son Thomas Wright. I do know that these folks were in Frederick-Berkeley Co area of VA/WV in the late 18th-early 19th centuries. Most of my folks, Quakers, went on to Highland Co, OH and eventually to Linn Co, IA. They intermarried with Adams and Walns also from same area in old Frederick Co. I would be interested to see what you have for other Wrights in same area.
