THANK YOU more than words can express. I am so very grateful for your time and help. The information you shared is a huge help. I am deeply appreciative. Would you know anything regarding George Henry "Jack" MILLER? I am at a loss as to who his parents are or when and where he died if he had siblings. Again, thank you. Dorthy Ruth Barrett born in 1913 in Berkeley County, mother is Georgianna Barrett, whose father and mother are John and Mary Morgan. I believe Dorthy (Dorothy) married David (?) Marpole (Marple) and had 3 boys. Does anyone have any information of these people? Dorthy worked in the Court House in Martinsburg or in Jefferson County. Georgie, born in 1874, married a Luther and Maurice Barrett. She is buried in Green Hill Cemetery. Dorothy E. Morgan d.e.morgan@sbcglobal.net
Has anyone ever come across anything about a Dr. Peter Watts who was in Berkeley county at the time of the American Revolution? The only reference I’ve been able to find on him is in Anne Waller Reddy's ‘West Virginia Revolutionary Ancestors.’ I checked the LVA’s online catalog and it only mentions that he applied for non-military compensation for Revolutionary service. I also looked at the online Berkeley probate records on Familysearch, but found no mention of him.

Oh my gosh! thank you so much...this is exactly it. I also notice that someone has written an "R" above the name of Elizabeth , daughter who was said to marry John Reagin (instead of Eagen as it is sometimes been transcribed). I'm no relation to any of the names mentioned that I know of. However, I've been looking for The Blamer family in Berkeley county forever. (my great grandfather was born at North Mountain). I just wanted to say "Good Luck". The Civil War destroyded most of the court houses and records in that part of the country and no one was buried with a headstone because they were afraid of destruction or couldn't afford it. ________________________________ From: "d.e.morgan@sbcglobal.net" <d.e.morgan@sbcglobal.net> To: WVBERKEL@rootsweb.com Sent: Sunday, November 24, 2013 9:48 AM Subject: [Berkeley Co WV] Parents of Clarence Morgan My grandfather, Clarence George Morgan, was born March 19, 1864 in VA/WV. I’m looking for information on the William Watts who married Nancy Ware on 19 Aug 1797 in Berkeley Co. I believe he is the same person as the William W. Watts who was recruited into the U. S. Army by Capt. Reuben Long on 7 June 1808. I have recently unearthed new information that places Reuben Long in Frederick and Shenandoah counties at this time. These counties border Berkeley Co. On his enlistment record William W. Watts states that he was born in Virginia and was 31 years old in 1808. I have seen the online image of his marriage record in Berkeley Co. and it appears that he signed his own name. This would mean he was literate. This makes sense because he was was made sergeant at the time of his enlistment and a sergeant would be required to read orders or write dispatches in the field. There was also a marriage for a Charles Watts to Christina Heson on 20 Oct 1796 in Berkeley Co. Was he related to William?
Can anyone tell me what Tommie Wardlaw e-mail address is? He has the records of Patricia McConnaughay and I need to get in tough with him. Craig Gregory c.gregory@myactv.net

By default, all digests are sent out in "plain" format, which simply means all messages for the day are received as a single long message. If you prefer receiving your daily digest in the same daily message, but WITH EACH POST FOR THE DAY AS AN ATTACHMENT rather than a single long message, then write to me at the List Admin's address for this list and ask me to "Change my digest to MIME, please." Again, make sure you include your subscribed address and the list name as mentioned above. > > ------------------------------- > > > Today's Topics: > > 1. Would there be any researchers on this list with connection and/or any information regarding: (1) Mary WISE b. c. 1828, (2) Elizabeth WISE b. c. 1830, (3) Emily WISE b. c. 1836? I haven’t any information pertaining to who any of these ladies married. For Emily WISE she was a domestic in the household of WILLIAM T BROTMAN (Bootman, Bortman) census of 1870, Hancock, Sir John's Run, Washington Co, MD. I have not found her after that period. Various members of the family resided in and/or around Hancock, Washington Co, MD, Allegany Co, MD, Morgan Co, WV, Berkeley Co, WV, Mineral Co, WV, Fulton Co, PA and OH.
