Thursday Oct 19, 1961 Barbour Democrat Charles Howard Bennett 77y of Junior died at Elkins hospital at 740 am Wed Oct 11, after a brief illness. He was born in Barbour county Aug 1 1884 a son of Calvin and Caroline Cross Bennett He is survived by his wife, the former Bertie Lee; one daughter Mrs. Charles Irene Zinn of Coronda, CA; one brother Floyd of Elkins two sisters Mrs. Norma Sturm of Elkins and Mrs Vern Corley of Philippi and three grandchildren Br Bennett was a retired employee of the West Virginia Coal and Coke Company, a member of the UMW and a member of Junior Methodist Church Interment at K of P cemetery
