    3. I'm forwarding this for a new subscriber to this list. . . Can anyone help? My ancestors, Dr. William and Lucy Goodloe Biggs, lived in Barbour County from 1849-1864. They left because of the war. Family history says Dr. Will was captured by the Rebels and his house was looted by the Federals -- perhaps during the battle of Laurel Hill. The mystery is where they would have taken Dr. Will for prison -- he is said to have escaped with the help of a William Bybee "from home." Dr. Will was a Quaker. Do you know of a Quaker church back then? His wife was the daughter of a minister in Richmond; the Goodloes were prominent in Caroline Co. thanks!
