"Doddridge Co Marriages" lookup). They appear in 1870 Census at SW Twp, Doddridge Co., Nathan age 22, farmer and Barbara age 18. Andrew REED, m. Virginia SNIDER, 17 Aug 1871, in Doddridge Co.(Ref. "Doddridge Co. Marriages"lookup). Melvin REED, m. Rebecca GRAY, 15 Oct 1873, in Doddridge Co. (Re. "Doddridge Co. Marriages lookup). NOTE: This is different date than previously posted by Gib REED. My reference was a lookup by someone else and could be mistaken. Can someone please verify and/or can Gib please provide specific reference for his date of marriage? Delila REED, b. 3 Feb 1855, Doddridge Co., WV, (Ref. Birth Certificate); m. 9 Dec 1877 to Floyd Chapman "Chap" FRYMIER, Doddridge Co., WV, marriage performed by R. A. Kemper (Ref. Marriage Certificate). (two children, details in later post) Phoebe REED, m. Elmore REED, 29 Apr 1880, Doddridge Co., WV (Ref. Doddridge Co. Marriages lookup). Mary REED, b. 16 Aug 1860 in Gilmer Co., and m. Henry Bode, 7 Sep 1882 in Doddridge Co.(Ref. "Doddridge Co. Marriages" lookup). Josiah and Mary (Nutter) REED appear in Household 589-590 of the 1860 Census for Doddridge Co. with 6 of their children. They also appear in the 1870 Census for Doddridge Co. with 9 of their children. Additional dates and names appear in Don Normans "Descendants of Josiah Reed". Since I find frequent errors in that database, I have only included here those that I have substantiated with more reliable references.
