Found in Barbour Democrat Mar. 19, 1914 Mrs. Eva (Reed) Woodford of 411 German Ave. Topeka ,KS was born Dec 20, 1873 in Philippi, WV, died at Sanbarnedio, CA aged 40y 1 month and 23 days. She was united in marriage to Robert T. Woodford in Philippi Nov. 27, 1895. To this union was born Carrie aged 16y; Harold, who died at the age of 4 years; and Reed, aged 5 months, who with devoted husband, five sisters and two brothers ....... Some three months ago the home was sold and the family moved to CA for hope of regaining her lost health. For the past 6 years a resident of KS coming from WV to Reading, thence moving to Topeka, where they since resided the husband having a good position with the Santa FA shops. Though in failing health ...... On the evening of the 18th at 7:15 the end came. After she rocked her baby to sleep and laid him on the bed to rest, a hemorrhage set in; she called her husband to her aid, and before medical aid could reach her she was at rest The body arrived at Topeka Sunday evening. The funeral was held at Derby residence, 1307 Seward Ave. Feb. 23 at 2:00 pm Rev. J. S. Umberger, of the Seward Ave. Baptist Church, assisted by a quartet from the church, conducted services The interment made at Topeka cemetery. Besides the relatives mentioned, there were present at the funeral Mr. and Mrs. Wm. O'Nell, of Valley Falls, KS and Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Reed of Reading, KS. The children will for the present make their home with Mr. and Mrs. Reed, of Reading Mr. Woodford will resume his position in the Santa Fa shops
