Barbour Democrat August 7, 1913 Mrs. Arzula Hickman, wife of Isaac Hickman, died at her home on Isaac's Run, July 29, 1914 of diseases incident to old age. Mrs., Hickman, whose maiden name was Arzula Marks was born May 16, 1835, being at the time of her death 77 years old. She married Isaac Hickman May 16, 1855. To this union ten children were born, Adaline, Florence, MAry, Lummie, Arthur, John Benjamin and William. Seven are living, three preceded her in death. Mrs. Hickman had been a faithful and consistent member of the U. B. Church for 35y. Her remains were interred in the Peel Tree cemetery, attended by a large concourse of friends and relatives. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Kelly of Rockford, under the aupiccs of the U. B. Church. "Uncle" Isaac and his family have profound sympathy of the entire neighborhood.
