Hi All, I plan to visit Barbour County in November. Will come down on a Monday late afternoon and spend Tuesday there. My ancestors were from Philippi and Belington. Can anyone tell me places to stay near those areas? Does anyone know if the hotel that was once Valley House in Philippi is still there? The Hulderman's were proprietor's of this hotel at one time. I would also like to know where the Elliot Cemetery and the Valley Bend Cemetery are located. Guess I am trying to get my bearings before arrival, as I won't have much time there. Surnames from Barbour County are: ARMSTRONG, HULDERMAN, TRIPLETT, and off shoots. Thanks in advance for any help that you can give me.
