Seeking information on William Jefferson Armstrong born abt 1837 married Lydia Adams on February 20, 1863 in Barbour County. The first Census that I find him in is the 1870 Barbour where he is listed as Jefferson. According to the older family members, he was first married to an Emily(?). Known children are: Anice married George Delauder Carrie Florentine b abt 1863 married George B. Lohr Garon (Garnet) b March 16, 1863 married Arleva Jane Triplett Laverna b abt 1871 married William Fitzwater Garon and Arleva are my gr. gr. grandparents. They were married in Barbour County on March 5, 1889 (Belington). Known children are: Alvin (Triplett) Alyise (Triplett) twins George Triplett b Dec. 21, 1871 m. Minnie Coonts Grover Cleveland Newman b March 16, 1885 Charles L. Oscar Armstrong b Feb. 20, 1887 Lawrence Henry Armstrong b. Jan 1, 1889 Emma Ann Armstrong (My gr. grandmother) b Nov. 10, 1891 d Nov. 7, 1931 married Arthur Otto HULDERMAN (perhaps Wians) Dec. 1910 William Jefferson Armstrong b Aug. 31, 1893 Issac Rufford Armstrong b May 6, 1896 d 1976 Swaze Everett Armstrong b May 23, 1898 Most of the children of this union came to Hancock County, WV in 1934 when Emma died and Arthur came here to work in the mines.
