May 24, 1956 page 6 Barbour Democrat Mrs. Elizabeth Huffman Gainer 82y the widow of Okey Gainer died at 3:30am Saturday May 19 at her home in Kasson Rt 2 following a long illness. She was born in Barbour County July 25, 1873, the daughter of Granville and Sarah Stalnaker Huffman She is survived by one son, Robert Gainer,of Kasson one daughter Mrs. Ada Haller, Grafton, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren Mrs. Gainer was a member of the Nestorville Methodist Church. Funeral services were held on May 21 at the New Hope Valley Church with the Rev. Percy Pringle officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
