Bridgette Thursday May 24, 1956 Barbour Democrat page 6 Tacy Depha Coffman Auvil, 69 years who died at the local hospital on Tuesday following a long illness, were held on Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Auvil was born in Barbour County on August 28, 1886 the daughter of Lewis and Elizabeth Coffman. She is survived by one son Emwood of Wheeling and one daughter Mrs. Carl Roemer of Indianapolis, IN; one sister Mrs. Sadie Waugh of Kasson three brothers Hoy K. Coffman of Bradenton, FL Hobart D. Coffman of Philippi and McKinley Coffman of Thornton Route. Six grandchildren five great grandchildren Mrs. Auvil was a retired telephone operator and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the Philippi Methodist Church Services were conducted by Rev. J. B. Dryfield and the Rev. L. Howard Wilfong, Burial was in Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
