There is an entry on p.335 under the William Edgar Arnett family history: William Edgar Arnett, born in Monongalia County, 1845, son of Solomon and Mary Arnett, was married in Mason County, June 27, 1876 to Caroline, daughter of Davis and Milla (Dawson) Pritchard. ..... The Pritchards are also of Dutch origin, William Pritchard, Mrs. Arnett's grandfather, having come to West Virginia from Maryland, about 1818. My index has no entries for Croston. > I am looking for Susan Croston's parents. I don't find Susan on any > 1850 census in Barbour County. At least there is no entry in the index to my Wes Cochran transcript. Have you seen the microfilm of that Monongalia Co census record? Could the age be 11 or 10 ? Interesting that the Arnetts come from Monogalia too. Also, Mason County might be a place to check for both Susan and Samuel Pritchard's families.
