John, Most of what I have came from other Grandon researchers, or from census records. 1. My father was William Ayers; 2. His parents were Moses Ayers and Verona Grim 3. Verona Grim was the daughter of David Crocket Grim of Greene Co., PA 4. David was the son of John Grim and Jane Grandon Jane was the sister of your Eleanor (Grandon) McCullough. 5. They were daughters of William and Rebecca (?) GRANDON. 6. William was the son of 7. Edward GRANDON (1740-50-) wife not found. William was born about 1775, and married Rebecca. They were the parents of 8 known children. Eleanor born between 1800-1815, married Joseph McCullough. The William Grandon family was in Greene Co., PA until sometime between 1830-1840 when they apparently crossed into what is now WV. The death record for William's wife, Rebecca, was found in Pleasants Co., VA/WV. She died 17 Jan 1860, and her birthplace was given as Ireland or PA. This is all I can find on this family right now, but I know I exchanged messages with a couple of people either on the Greene Co., PA or Grim/Grimm lists about the McCullough connection.
