hello to all....could someone please help me. Have just been told that a very elusive ancestor Hannah Saylor/Sailor was born in Kassen (Cassen) VA in 1785. I realize this would be WV now.....in the Barbour County area. In 1785 it would not have been Barbour County though I don't think....what county would it have been? If I am reading my notes correctly....I think it would have been Harrison County. Is that correct? But where is/was Kassen? I have tried the town locator sites and come up with nothing. Being that it was a village in 1785 it is possibly no longer even there......can someone tell me about where it was? Any chance of finding birth records for this area for this time period?
