Cara, I asked the same question a few months back bacause I have family from the Union District, not the Union Township. It turnsout that the District is quite large and I believe may be fouond in both Barbour and Upshur counties. I was told it is shown on various USGS topographic maps. Try this address, http://www.topozone.com (this is a great resource). Have it search for Barbour County and then go to the larger scale, the 1:50,000 or 1:25,000 scales and look in the Swamp Run area between Buchkannon and Audra. You will find the name Union on several protions of the map. I don't recall if I saw the Barker area but it may be there in Barbour County. Just in case you are successful in finding some other information, do you know where the Saw Mill District was/is? Lastly, check out the following addresses for an early 1900's photo of my SANDRIDGE family farm in Audra. http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvrandol/sandridg.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvbarbou/sandridg.htm -- Cara Plumb/Miller wrote: > Evening All!
