Does anyone know of a woman, Angeline Coontz, (my great grandmother) who lived in Junior, WV for a while (about 1910-until her death in 1936). She was married to Augustus Coontz--he was her 3rd husband. She had been previously married to Elam Lance (Lantz) and then Irvin Frank Talbott (a miller living in Philippi). They both left her a widow and she then married Augustus. Her maiden name was Angeline Teets. I was wondering if she has any decendants or relatives still living in the general area? Fred Lantz

Your names of Garrett, Goodwin and Greathouse rings a bell ........... You might want to check out this line. I follow a brother (James Arthur Garrett) of a William Leonard Garrett, born May 16, 1868, who married a Daisy Goodwin. There was also a Greathouse mix in there later. William was son of James Henderson Garrett and Melvina Kelley. Just a thought, good luck In a message dated 12/6/2010 9:32:00 A.M. I have other children but have not found any birth records for them. Never thought about that. My records show Sarah Jane Myers was born abt 1839 near Blacksville, WV or McCurtisville in either Monongalia Co, Va or PA. Never heard of any of these places. I show William P's birth to be abt 1837. The first child for which I have found a birth record for William P and Sarah Jane was for Ann Arah Cox born in OH 24 Oct 1868. I have other children but have not found any birth records for them. Emma, William Azareal b. abt 1859, Mary Catherine b. abt 1861, Clara abit 1863, Lloyd Earl abt 1864 and my g. grandfather John Milton b.Nov. 19, 1965. So I guess there is nothing to say that William Pernell did not have a first marriage either. Need to check census records to see if I made note that it may have shown a first married age at marriage children living, etc. There are lots of possibilities here. For some reason I never thought they were married twice but it certainly worth rechecking. Thanks for your help. pat In a message dated 12/5/2010 4:57:33 P.M. I have not been able to find anything so what record did you find? And was this for Barbour County? Maybe it was added after I last checked. His father was William Pernel Cox and mother Sarah Jane Myers Cox. I know I found some of their other children in Marion Co. I found a record in Morgantown that indicated that William P and Sarah were married about 1862. So I wonder if William P may have been married twice and Sarah was not William Azareal's birth mother. Would you please send me site where you found this record and I will dig deeper. Thanks for your help. Pat Fairview, TX In a message dated 12/5/2010 4:38:32 P.M. Looking for any information on William B. Jones of Barbour County who disappeared sometime after the birth of my grandmother Ethel Mae Jones in 1884. Cannot find a death record for him, however his wife Sarah Hill Jones remarried A. W. Phillips in 1894. Sharon Thompson Ohio
