Henry was b 1860 probably Barbour. In 1885 he married Malinda Irons in Tucker county. The marriage record shows his parents to be John Beary and Isabella Pfau. I would like more info on his parents for a friend in Henry's line but cannot find them. I do find in 1870 Barbour a Susan Pfau b abt 1929 in Va with a son Henry Martin Pfau b abt 1862 Va living with an Agnes Pfau b abt 1796 in Pa.Head of house being Erasmus A Hammond b abt 1846 Va. Hi all, The Harris is my married name so not from Barbour county. My parents are John Wilson Payne (son of Lewis Payne and Pearl Lantz Payne) and my Mom, Norma Wanema Sinsel Payne (daughter of Carl Sinsel & Devonia Cox Sinsel) Carl's sister was Evelyn Sinsel married to Duke Weaver. My Dad's siblings are: Robert Payne (recently passed away, lived in the white house across from Corley church), Red (Harry) Payne (used to the postmaster in Belington, now volunteers on the train), Lela Mae (Babe) Payne, Buddy Payne and Mary (Mary passed away years ago). Don A better way to phrase your question "do you have So and So Harris in your database". I have about 30 of them listed in my family research. I have no Sheaffers, but about 50 Shaffer's almost all having to do with WV. Keep in mind for my surname Kenefick I have found over 10 spellings actively in use by different families. And in Census, et al records I have checked over 200 plus "mutilated" spellings. Hello Jan, That could be a lot of people! I have Weavers, Streets, Moats, McDaniel, Gower, Haller and several other great grandparents and cousins coming to and being born in Barbour County, West Virginia. My direct line moved in about 19XX to Steubenville, Jefferson, Ohio area. My on-line tree disappeared when the owner ran out of money to keep the servers going.
