    3. Ron, This is what I could find for Roberts in the 1850 Barbour Co, WV Census: #878 William Roberts - 41 Elizabeth - 37 Malinda - 17 Daniel - 15 James - 13 Simon - 7 John - 2 Emmit - 1 month #879 Absalom Roberts - 34 Rebecca - 25 Permelia - 72 Abigail O'Neal - 15 #883 Moses Roberts - 38 Elizabeth - 32 Sarah J. - 15 Rebecca - 10 Armeda - 4 ______________________________ The 1860 Census listed: #419 Moses Roberts - 46 Elizabeth - 44 Sarah J. -25 Rebecca - 18 Armeda - 13 Prudy Ann - 2 #594 Willard Roberts - 54 Orpha - 39 Albert D. - 19 Mary E. - 5 #939 Absalom Roberts - 43 Rebecca - 33 Loid W. - 7 Hester - 3 months I did not see the name Denis/Dent that you mentioned, but maybe these names will "tie in" to an ancestor. I also checked the 1850 and 1860 Randolph Co, WV Census and did not see any ROBERTS listed for those two census years. Ruth M.

I thought I had this one settled sometime ago but now some conflicting info has appeared. His wife is in the 1870 Randolph census, but he died before 1870. Thanks very much for your help if you have this census. Ron

    3. Could someone do a look up for me in the 1880's census in Barbour County? I am looking for any information on a Martin Ferrell (Farrell) that resided in a Hotel at this time. I need to find if he was married, and who was with him. What hotel, who was the owner (believed to be a relative of Martin's) or his daughter, Viola Virginia Ferrell (Farrell) that was about age 3 or 4 yrs. old at this time. I am looking to find her mother. None was listed on Viola's marriage certificate. I'm wondering if Viola's mother had died before this time. Any information on these two is greatly needed. Thank you for your time Beverly Burford
