I'm trying to flesh out some RINGER information and try to open up some currently dead ends. I have two brothers, sons of a John RINGER (about 1723 - about 1789) married to an Anna Mary NISS/Anna Marie NYCE (1730 to about 1791) who both married 5th Great Aunts of mine and daughters of a Johann Jost DIETZ (1734 - ca 1799) and Anna Catherine SCHNEIDER (1737 - ?). Johann Adam RINGER (1756-1810) married Margaret DIETZ (ca 1755 - before 1829) 1781 in Bedford Co., Pennsylvania. His brother, George RINGER (ca 1772 - ca 1832) married Ann Elisabeth DIETZ (1766 - ca 1844) circa 1793 in Bedford Co., Pennsylvania. I have quite a number of names where the information stops at various points and places in time and I would like to gather as much information on my RINGER relatives as possible. I have been able to trace their migration paths through the following states and counties: Ohio Guernsey County Ross County Tuscarawas County Vinton County Pennsylvania Bedford County Fayette County Montgomery County Somerset County Virginia/West Virginia Monongalia County Preston County If you have any RINGER lines, or lines related to the RINGER surname, in or around any of the above counties I would really like to hear from you so we can compare names and see if there is a connection.
