Hi, I need some assistance with finding a birth certificate for my father. I contacted the Vital Registration in Charleston W.Va. to obtain a birth certificate for both my mother and father. My mother was born in Scarbro, W.Va. under the name of Evelyn Gertrude Dixon, and my father was born in Huntington, W.Va under the name of Ellsworth James Bowles. Vital Registration had my mothers but not my dads, should I contact the Cabell County Courthouse for my dads, and if so does anyone know the number that I can reach them at, and what department I should talk to?
