I am having a hard time finding birth certificates for my Grandmother and Grandfather and father, I have called the Department of Vital Statistics in Charleston W.Va. and they have no record of them.. My question is I know where they are buried, how could I get information from the cemetery, maybe that will give me the information as to where they were born, etc. My grandmother was born in 1880, my grandfather in 1881, and my dad in 1909. They were all buried in the same cemetery in Huntington, W.Va., Springhill Cemetery. I hope someone can help.. Thanks, Mike Bowles, stumped.. >> Mike who were your grandparents? Have you checked the Census records to find them as children? If your grandmother was born in 1880 then she should be a baby on the 1880 Census and listed with her parents (depending on what month her birthday was) and your Dad will be on the 1910 Census with your grandparents and your Dad will also be on the 1920 Census with his parents. I have the 1880 Census of Cabell and will be happy to look to see if your grandmother is listed if you can give me some names. I imagine that you could go to the Cabell County Web page Cabell County West Virginia GenWeb (click on the blue line) and they might have recorded that cemetery or if you ask someone on this list they might even have it or do a lookup for you at the cemetery. Please let me know your names and let me see what I can turn up for you. Pat
